Iconic London department store Liberty has teamed up with British household names to create a collection of ‘National Treasures’ for charity.

The eclectic line-up of collaborators includes renowned artists Tracey Emin and Grayson Perry, who have contributed a line of soaps and a Liberty-print-clad doll respectively. London fashion’s finest have also each been inspired to create a unique item: Stella McCartney offers a Union Jack necklace; photographer Rankin has designed a printed lampshade; and Fashion East’s Lulu Kennedy has worked with exclusive perfumier Byredo to create a scented candle.

Among the other collaborators is veteran newsreader Jon Snow, whose design for a modernist desk has been brought to life by Dare Studios, and TV Dragon Deborah Meaden, who has worked with Globe Trotter to create a Prince of Wales check-lined suitcase.

Many more creative minds have set to work, including chef Rick Stein, actress Helena Bonham Carter, writer Nigel Slater and British fashion royalty Dame Vivienne Westwood, Sir Paul Smith and Celia Birtwell. Some of the unique items will be sold in a silent auction at Liberty to benefit charities including Kids Company, ending October 31st.
